MEET RACHAEL

I'm the founder and Director of EmployAble Sunderland - A disability led C.IC created to make employment fairer and more accessible to disabled young people in Wearside.

I have Cerebral Palsy and I've spent 11 years working across a range of sectors including: early years, youth work and facilities management and in that time, I've seen and experienced first - hand how talented disabled young people are shut out from opportunities that should be within reach.

My work is grounded in advocacy, practical support and removing barriers - whether that's confidence building, understanding reasonable adjustments or helping someone secure a career they love.

Sunderland is my home, and I'm passionate about creating a local service that understands our community, our employers and the challenges people face here.

Every part of EmployAble is built on empowerment and a belief that disabled young people deserve a career they can thrive in, not compromise in.
